Prints and Colors Mixing for the Weekend

Style Print and Color Mixing

Today's post is the last one on my #noshopjanuary tag. I'm so happy that I have done the tag successfully, and still be able to blog wearing outfits which I already owned. It didn't even feel like I was doing the tag at all. It was a great experience for me!

Nowadays mixing things in our outfits is quite a trend. I feel like the fashion cupid is finally on my side because I think this is my thing!
I don't know, I just don't feel excited anymore when seeing plain clothes with different model are stuck in one body (is it just me? :| ). There are already many people doing it! So today's outfit will be the current trend as well as "my style", mixing prints and colors.

Actually I wasn't confidence that I could create a good look because I was doing #noshopjanuary tag, so I couldn't buy any new stuffs. That is the biggest challenge when creating this style because mixing prints and colors requires the outfits to match well even though they have different print, color, and model. However I'm glad that I could produce a casual style with unique touches like this pink and green pairing, with a mix of tartan and stripes prints.

The essential of mixing prints and colors is the courage to be different in a unique yet presentable outfit. The outfits need to be picked out carefully because you don't want to look like a clown. For this style, I chose a mix of pink and green with a combination of tartan and stripes because both prints and colors are my favorites. I bought the tartan shirt from a local department store, but I will still provide the link to similar item at the end of this post.

I chose to wear this casual style on the weekend when going shopping with friends because it is so cozy. I could also wear this style when going for brunch with friends. Finally I could add a long necklace when it isn't too cold, or put on a fringe scarf on top when it is.
